The aim of the IR(A) training course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate aeroplanes under IFR and in IMC conditions. The course is designed to ensure that the student’s flying is of a sufficiently high standard.

Instrument Rating - IR/SE (A)

The IR/SE (A) training prepares the students to obtain required proficiency in operating single engine aircraft according to instrument flight rules (IFR), develop adequate attitude flying, and to get familiar with instrument normal and abnormal procedures from company's SOP, which is very important for further commercial & airline career.

A single-engine IR(A) course consists of:

  • 50 hrs of Single Engine airplane
  • 2 hours exam
  • Landing fees
  • Exam flight

SE/IR course entry requirements:

  • EASA PPL(A) licence
  • Medical class I. or II.
  • Completed NVFR (5 hours of night time)
  • 50 hours cross country flight time as Pilot In Command (PIC) of which at least 10 hours shall be in aeorplanes
  • Completed IR or ATPL theoretical exams
